৮২। মূসক কর্মকর্তাকে সহায়তা প্রদান
৮২। মূসক কর্মকর্তাকে সহায়তা প্রদান—
(১) মূসক কর্মকর্তাকে এই আইন বা তদধীন প্রণীত বিধিমালার অধীন তাহাদের দায়িত্ব পালনের ক্ষেত্রে পুলিশ, বর্ডার গার্ড বাংলাদেশ, বাংলাদেশ কোস্ট গার্ড ও আনসারের যেকোন সদস্য এবং ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ, উপজেলা পরিষদ, পৌরসভা, জেলা পরিষদ, সিটি কর্পোরেশন কর্তৃপক্ষ, আবগারি, শুল্ক, আয়কর এবং মাদকদ্রব্য সংক্রান্ত কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা ও নিয়ন্ত্রণকারী সকল সরকারি কর্মকর্তাসহ অন্য যেকোন সরকারি কর্মকর্তা, ব্যাংক, বীমা , চার্টার্ড একাউন্টেন্ট ফার্ম, ক্রেডিট রেটিং এজেন্সি ও আর্থিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের কর্মকর্তাগণ সহায়তা প্রদানে বাধ্য থাকিবেন
(২) সহকারী কমিশনার পদমর্যাদার নিম্নে নহেন এমন কোন মূসক কর্মকর্তা, তাহাকে সহায়তা করিবার উদ্দেশ্যে উপ-ধারা (১) এ উল্লিখিত কোন সদস্য, কর্তৃপক্ষ বা কর্মকর্তা বা অন্য কোন ব্যক্তিকে যে কোন ব্যক্তির স্থাবর-অস্থাবর সম্পত্তির হিসাব, ব্যাংক এ্যাকাউন্টের হিসাব বিবরণী, দলিলাদিসহ অন্য যেকোন তথ্য সরবরাহের অনুরোধ করিতে পারিবেন এবং উক্ত অনুরোধের প্রেক্ষিতে সংশ্লিষ্ট সদস্য, কর্তৃপক্ষ বা কর্মকর্তা তলবকৃত তথ্য সরবরাহ করিতে বাধ্য থাকিবেন।
82. Assistance to VAT officers.—
(1) All members of the Police, Border Guards Bangladesh, Bangladesh Coast Guards, and Ansars; and the authorities of all Union Parishads, Upazila Parishads, Municipalities, Zila Parishads, City Corporations; and all the government officers, including the officers administering and controlling the functions relating to Excise, Customs, Income Tax and Narcotics; and all bank officers shall render assistance to the VAT officers in discharging their duties under this Act or any the rules made thereunder.
(2) A VAT officer not below the rank of an Assistant Commissioner may, for the purposes of taking assistance, request any member, authority, officer or any other person specified in sub-section (1) to provide any information, including the accounts of any movable or immovable property of any person, statements of bank accounts or other documents of any person, and such member, authority, or officer, if so requested, shall remain obligated to furnish such summoned information.
